Our mission at WTAR is #SavingLives, which often means rescuing puppies that have underlying life-threatening health conditions. These health conditions can cost thousands of dollars in unexpected veterinary bills, usually requiring life-saving surgery. This is where you can help! Meet our two current pups who need these life-saving surgeries: In My Life & Fumiko.
Facebook Fundraisers
Approximately 2.4 million healthy, adoptable dogs and cats—many puppies and kittens—are put down in U.S. shelters each year due to pet overpopulation and shelter overcrowding. To battle against unnecessary euthanasia, Wolf Trap Animal Rescue operates emergency Rescue Transports to those shelters who need it most.
Since May 2015, Wolf Trap Animal Rescue has successfully rescued and adopted over 5,700 dogs & puppies, and nearly 1,200 cats & kittens, with a total of over 6,900 animals rescued from euthanasia. The Wolf Trap Animal Rescue has an amazing network of volunteers and fosters who are dedicated to helping save more lives through this rescue and adoption program. Please help fundraise or consider donating, as fundraising is vital to the sustainability of our program.

Every mile logged can earn money and other resources for us.
